Local Law Enforcement
Approximately 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.
Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual noticed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish liquid.
The liquid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Officers then discovered numerous other marked automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement say early analysis show the fluid was most likely human blood.
"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; authorities are currently not informed of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they added.
City officials announced they were attempting "to solve the case" and have appealed to the residents for information.
A high-ranking political figure said the attack left him without words and required to be addressed promptly.
"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he stated on a platform, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a assailant aiming at residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
